Holy Cross Ministries |
|
Holy Cross Parish has a long history of meeting the
challenges and needs of the parish and community. We owe the growth of our
parish to those that have laid the foundation, and we have a
responsibility to continue the tradition.
Two very special ministries at Holy Cross are the Hands of Christ Outreach Program and the Prayer Chain. Please visit our Ministry Committee page for more information. During 2003, Father Tom Dugan initiated an Appreciative Inquiry process at Holy Cross. Appreciative Inquiry is a practical tool for enhancing ministry. It's "the process of asking questions to explore those things that give life, health, vitality, excellence, and success." - David DeLambo, Ph.D. With a goal of identifying what gives life to Holy Cross Parish, imagining ways to enhance our parish life, and empowering our people to create "what will be", we embarked on a multi-year project of discovery. The Appreciative Inquiry process involved a series of parishioner interviews, focusing on what gives us life and health as a community. The results of those interviews were gathered into a booklet, which was distributed to all parishioners. "By engaging both gratitude for our past and concern for our future, Appreciative Inquiry provides the basis for plans to be implemented at Holy Cross over the next three to five years. It presents goals and objectives in five areas: liturgy, welcoming, ministry, education and youth." - Father Tom Dugan, Pastor, and the Appreciative Inquiry Core Team We welcome each member of our parish family into the work of creating this destiny. Please feel free to review the results of our Discovery process and complete the form below to be a part of Holy Cross Church's future.
